Welcome.  This website was created for the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT or LGBT) community of Iowa City, Iowa and the health care providers who work with them.  The intent is to educate the GLBT community of the health issues specific to the community, provide access to gay-friendly doctors and other gay-friendly resources in the community, and to educate the community resources about the specific needs of the GLBT community.  

Included is a section on GLBT health.  This has links to a several GLBT-specific health care information pages, including:

The local Resources component was the driving force behind this effort, and is the compilation of GLBT services in the community.

• University resources.

The state and national resources section is still in its infancy, and we would appreciate additional resources to include.
